John Ernest Nettles was born on March 06, 1881 and died in 1949 in Nassau County, Florida. He is buried at Buford Grove Cemetery in Hillird, Florida in Nassau County.

He married Annie Lee Johnson and had the following children:

1.) Ernie Catheoline Nettles- born: Oct. 17, 1906 and died: Sept. 27, 1975. She married Franklin Shedrick Snowden.

2.) Ernest Albert Nettles - born: Nov. 25, 1914 and died: Aug. 24, 1994.

3.) Lonnie B. Nettles- born: June 07, 1918 and died: 1939

4.) James Edward Nettles - born: Mar. 26, 1921 and died: Aug. 24, 1984.

5.) Cora Lee Nettles- born: Feb. 11, 1924

According to stories passed down to some of the living relatives, John Ernest Nettles was an orphaned family member adopted by Henry David Nettles. At this time, I have not be able to find the records to back up this claim.
